Keith Tyrone Williams has performed, directed and choreographed throughout the United States and extensively in Europe. His work has been seen in his hometown of St. Louis at Powell Symphony Hall, and he performed in more than 15 productions at the Municipal Opera and St. Louis Black Repertory Company. Williams also performed in The Full Monty at Stages St. Louis. His choreography for Bubbling Brown Sugar and Raisin received the Woodie King award for “Best Productions.” Keith has appeared both on and off Broadway.

In addition, Keith had the awesome blessing of studying with many of the original Dunham Company members, including Archie Savage, Lenwood Morris, Norman Davis (all of which were mentors), Vanoye Aikens, Lucille Ellis, Tommy Gomez, Pearl Reynolds (he assisted her at the Ailey School), Clifford Fears, Walter Nicks (as a member of his company in New York) and, of course, Ms. Dunham for whom he demonstrated for many times. He was fortunate to receive Ms. Dunham’s blessings on his company Inner Vision Dance Theatre and on his Certified Masters, which he was working on prior to her passing.

Keith is very proud to be among the few people certified by Katherine Dunham to teach the world renowned Dunham Technique and he was honored as a recipient of the Katherine Dunham Dance Award. Keith currently serves as adjunct instructor of dance/theater at Washington University and recently received his MFA Degree from Missouri’s Lindenwood University.
