Leah Creque-Harris, Ph.D

Leah Creque-Harris, Ph.D. is an educator and scholar who serves as Director of the Honors Program and Associate Professor of English at Morehouse College.

Her research and writing center on the cultural history of the African diaspora as manifest in dance, literature, and theatre.  Prior to earning a doctorate from Emory University under the advisement of the late cultural historian, Dr. Richard A. Long, Leah Creque’s journey in the world of dance included performance and  tutelage from pioneers of African-derived dance movement.

Subsequently, Dr. Creque became an ardent supporter and patron of dance serving as a founding board member for several dance organizations.
